Westlake is getting a new name, and it could have some big implications for the brand.
The brand’s parent company, GK Westlake Partners, announced that the brand would no longer be called Westlake and will be called the Westlake Group, with GK Partners managing the brand’s brand and licensing.
According to GK, the brand has grown rapidly since it was launched in 2009 and its market share in the U.S. is estimated at nearly 60 percent.GK Partners President Michael Tressel said in a statement that the new name is a nod to the brand and the people who make it.
“Westlake’s continued growth and success has driven a great deal of value and passion for the company and its brands,” Tressell said.
“In this new era, the West Lake Group will continue to provide our clients with world-class cosmetic and surgical expertise and to build and maintain our partnership with leading brands in the world.
This will be the West of Hills brand.”
The announcement came after Westlake announced it was expanding into China.
The new name should help it better reach the Chinese market.
It also aligns with Gk Partners’ goal of becoming a global leader in cosmetic surgery.
Gk Partners owns GK and a number of other companies including K&G, J.C. Penney, and L’Oreal.GKC Partners has had a major hand in helping drive the growth of Westlake in the United States.GKA Partners owns several other brands, including Pinnacle SkinCare and the SkinCare brand.
Westlake is now available in more than 60 countries.
