Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have announced that they will combine their three films into one big-budget movie for the third year in a row.
The company’s first movie, Transformers: The Lost Age, is expected to make about $3 billion worldwide this year.
Legendary’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, which hits theaters this Friday, is projected to make $2.6 billion globally.
The studio and Legendary are hoping that The Last Knights will top $3B worldwide.
That would make it the biggest movie ever to debut in China, and make it one of the biggest foreign box office debuts in the history of the film business.
Legendary is producing The Last Jedi, the third film in the Star Wars franchise, which will be released on December 15.
It’s expected to take in about $60 million globally.
Last Knights is projected at $8 million in China.
The Last of Us, the next game in the Uncharted series, is also expected to hit the top of the international charts this week.
Its worldwide debut is expected at $1.4 billion.
Legendary has already released The Last Of Us and The Last Ship, both in 2017.
The two films are expected to reach $400 million in box office revenue and $1 billion worldwide.
“We’ve been working on this film for years and have been thrilled to finally be able to bring it to the big screen in 2019,” said Chris Morgan, Legendary’s president of production.
“I’m really excited about the prospect of having a worldwide, top-of-the-line cinematic experience that brings the stories of the Last Knights to life.”
Legendary will be releasing The Last Kiss, the first film in The Last Kings trilogy, in 2019.
It will make about about $2 billion worldwide, and Legendary will likely make more than $300 million for its production company.

Legendary will also release a remake of The Last Crusade, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Arthur the Great.
Warner Bros., which has been in the studio since 2001, will produce the film with Lionsgate.

The studio also has a deal with Universal to produce The Last Exorcism Part II, which is projected as the biggest film in history.
It is expected for a global gross of about $7.7 billion worldwide and $20.7 million in the U.S. Legendary also has plans to release a live-action adaptation of The Matrix, a fantasy film that has become an icon for the sci-fi genre.
Warner is expected do around $1 million in grosses and $200,000 for production costs.
The next big thing for Warner Bros is a sequel to the The Last Day, the sequel to The Last Ride, which opened in 2015.
The film is estimated at $6 million in domestic ticket sales, and the studio is also looking at a live action reboot of The Hunger Games, which was released in 2018.
Legendary had planned to release the film as a standalone but changed course after the film’s director, Andy Muschietti, died.
The last Ride, however, is in development, and Warner Bros and Legendary have agreed to work together on a new version.

The film was originally scheduled to be released in 2019 but was delayed to 2018.
