Updated December 21, 2018 06:48:53 A former plastic surgeon at a Pennsylvania hospital has been hired by a large cosmetic surgery center.
Isaac Smith, a 63-year-old father of four, said he had worked as a plastic surgeon for more than two decades before he began working at the St. Anthony’s Regional Plastic Surgery Center in Piedmont.
He said he was hired in late September, shortly after the company posted an advertisement for a plastic surgery associate.
The St. Clair Shores clinic is a small, private facility that specializes in the treatment of skin cancers and other serious cosmetic problems.
St. Clair is located in the Piedtmont section of Pittsburgh.
It is one of several large plastic surgery centers in the area that have recently hired plastic surgeons, including St. John’s Regional Medical Center and the West Coast Surgery Center of Pittsburgh, which has two facilities.
Last year, the Center for Cosmetic Medicine in Cincinnati was named the Best Place to Work in America by U.S. News & World Report.
“I am looking forward to working in this great community and I hope to be able to help those in need in our community,” Smith said in a statement.
Smith is the latest addition to the growing list of plastic surgery companies that have moved into Piedmont, including the Stapleton Clinic, which is the largest in the county, and Dr. James DeCarlo Plastic Surgery in the city.
