The 10 Most Plastic Surgery Procedures in America 2018.
As of May 2018, there were nearly 12,000 plastic surgery procedures performed in the U.S., according to a survey of the Surgeon General of the U!
Department of Health and Human Services.
That’s more than the total number of U.K. residents in 2018.
“The American Medical Association has made it clear that plastic surgery should not be performed on children or adults who are disabled or who are vulnerable,” Dr. Jill D. O’Neill, Surgeon-in-Chief of the American Academy of Pediatrics, said in a statement.
“We cannot and will not allow anyone to take advantage of a child or an adult with a disability.”
The American College of Surgeons has made a similar statement.
The American Association of Plastic Surgeons, which represents some of the country’s top plastic surgeons, has also called for a ban on the practice, which it said could increase rates of complications.
According to the Surgeons for a Better Future, which advocates for cosmetic surgery, the practice has increased more than 30 percent over the past decade.
It says in a 2017 report that the number of procedures performed on adults rose 7.2 percent over that same time period, and the number for children rose by 3.5 percent.
That increase can be attributed in part to a shortage of surgeons in the country, the organization said.
